Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 | The Entertainment District

This will be CyberConnect2’s first game to receive an M rating, as its predecessor was rated T. The game appears to follow the anime’s storyline, continuing from the Entertainment District Arc. This arc, which is part of the season 2’s second half, was not included in the first game. The story serves as a direct continuation of Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles.

Here are the two versions of the game currently available to purchase:

Digital Standard Edition ($59.99)

  • Base Game
  • Character unlocks: Academy Rengoku, Academy Uzui
  • Pre-Order Bonus: Muichiro Character Unlock, Mitsuri Character

Digital Deluxe Edition ($69.99)

  • Base Game
  • Up to 5 days Early Access
  • Battle Attire: Tanjiro’s Kimono (Entertainment District), Inosuke’s Kimono (Entertainment District), and Uzui’s Shinobi Attire
  • VS Mode System Voice: Upper Rank Demons Set (Akaza, Daki, Gyutaro, Gyokko, Zohakuten)
  • Character Unlock Keys: Tengen Uzui, Obanai Iguro, Sanemi Shinazugawa, and Gyomei Himejima
  • Character unlocks: Academy Rengoku, Academy Uzui
  • Pre-Order Bonus: Muichiro Character Unlock, Mitsuri Character Unlock

The Hinokami Chronicles 2 trailer showcased DLC characters implemented into the first title. The first entry had no cross-platform play, therefore the sequel is expected to omit this feature as well. The vast majority of CyberConnect2’s games lack cross-platform play.

CyberConnect2 is a development studio best known for their work creating anime arena fighters. The studio most notably developed the Ultimate Nina Storm series, which revolutionised the anime games industry. As for Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles, it sold 3 million copies across various platforms.
