The Russo brothers announced a prequel video game title for their upcoming movie: The Electric State. The game is called The Electric State: Kid Cosmo, and will be released exclusively on Netflix for iOS and Android devices on March 18, 2025. Only those with a Netflix subscription will be able to play the game.
Kid Cosmo will be a bite-sized adventure puzzle game. The “narrative-driven game takes place before the events of the movie and spans five years, blending gameplay with emotional storytelling to create an immersive experience,” the official Netflix blog said.
As with most Netflix games, the game will have no ads. The Electric State: Kid Cosmo was developed by ABGO – a development studio created by Joseph and Anthony Russo, alongside Mike Larocca.

The game follows Chris and Michelle, who are brother and sister. In an exclusive interview with Variety, Anthony Russo states, “the game is able to explore the relationship in more depth. We certainly explore the relationship very thoroughly in the movie, but there’s just a limit in a two-hour medium to how much ground you can cover, in terms of story. […] It’s a wonderful, complicated brother-sister relationship in everything that that entails.”
The Russo brothers were the directors responsible for the critically acclaimed Avengers: End Game and Infinity War – titles that marked a massive success, cementing the directors’ positions as titans in the industry. They expanded into gaming by creating AGBO, having acquired millions of dollars in investments for the development studio. ABGO focuses on developing and producing intellectual property universes spanning film, TV, gaming, and publishing.
