HoYoverse has announced that Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.6, titled “Among the Forgotten Ruins,” will launch on March 12, 2025, across all platforms. This update introduces a new main story chapter where players will try to secure a mysterious artifact linked to a past sacrifice, confronting the phantom thief syndicate Mockingbird along the way.
The update brings three new playable Agents across two banner phases. Phase 1 features S-rank Electric Attack Agent Silver Soldier Anby, accompanied by rerun Burnice (Fire Anomaly) and A-rank Agents Pulchra and Ben. Phase 2 introduces S-rank Electric Stun Agent Trigger, with Zhu Yuan (Ether Attack) returning alongside A-rank Agents Lucy and Billy. New W-Engines include Severed Innocence (Anby’s signature), Spectral Gaze (Trigger’s signature), and Box Cutter (Pulchra’s signature).
Players can also challenge a new boss, Geppetto, in Hollow Zero, and participate in additional game modes such as Dancing on Strings, Shattered Edge, and Virtual World: Battle Storm.
The update introduces new Drive Disc sets—Shadow Harmony and Phaethon’s Melody—offering buffs to Afershock attacks, critical rate, and Anomaly Mastery. The “March On, Tiny Titan!” event allows players to battle in a dream arena, unlocking new Bangboo equipment. Quality-of-life improvements include the Expert Challenge Burnout mode for efficient farming, enhanced W-Engine and Drive Discs displays, and optimizations to the Special Training Plan.
A seven-day login event will offer 10 free wishes and Boopons. Additionally, players can redeem the livestream code SOLDIER0ANBY for 300 Polychromes, 30,000 Dennies, 2 Senior Investigator Logs, and 3 W-Engine Energy Modules. This code expires on March 1, 2025, at 11:59 PM (UTC+8).
Zenless Zone Zero is the latest action RPG from HoYoverse, the studio behind Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail. Unlike its predecessors, the game focuses on fast-paced hack-and-slash combat instead of elemental synergy or turn-based mechanics. Zenless Zone Zero is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and mobile devices.
