Monster Hunter Wilds Hits Almost a Million Players on Steam Within An Hour of Its Release

Monster Hunter Wilds is making a statement in its release as the game is currently reaching more than 800k concurrent players on Steam. The game reached these numbers within an hour of its release.
Monster Hunter Wilds was released on Steam at midnight of February 28 and as of writing, the game currently has more than 800k players on Steam alone. Since the game is also released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, the number can only go higher.
Aside from this, Capcom has also announced that they’re going to run collaborations with different Virtual Youtuber (Vtuber) agencies: namely hololive and Vshojo. For Hololive, Ninomae Ina’nis, Koseki Bijou, Gigi Murin, and Raora Panthera will be participating in the collaboration. According to the post made by hololive, they might also reveal “something special” on stream. For Vshojo, the only Vtuber confirmed to participate is GEEGA.
Monster Hunter Wilds has also received “universal acclaim” on Metacritic, reaching a score of 90/100 for its console versions. Capcom has also announced the game’s future Title Update 1 which will introduce a new level of difficulty as well as a Gathering Hub.
