New guitar controllers, Les Paul Black Tribal Encore Edition and Les Paul Blueberry Burst Pro Edition were released in collaboration between CRKD, the company behind the original Guitar Hero controllers, and guitar manufacturer Gibson.
The Black Tribal Encore features traditional fret buttons and a mechanical strum bar, while the Blueberry Burst Pro offers mechanical fret buttons, a Hall Effect strum bar with haptic feedback, and customizable sensitivity.
Both models share features like modular necks, CRKD’s rapid polling technology, an eight-button Navigation Hub, an ergonomic D-pad, and the mode dial, which lets users adjust controller input presets based on selected games and difficulty levels. On top of that, new models have RGB lighting and a Tilt sensor for effortless Star Power activation and both of them can be customized through the CRKD Companion App.
New controllers are designed to work across multiple platforms, including PC, Switch, and Android, while the Xbox version works on Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One. The Legacy Mode allows both editions to work with Rock Band 4 and Guitar Hero titles on PS3.
