Frostpunk 2 Roadmap Update Reveals New DLC and Console Launch Schedule

- Two DLC are coming in 2025, codenamed “Spectrum” and Aurora.”
- Frostpunk 2 releases on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 in 2025.
- A third DLC is coming in 2026.
Frontpunk 2’s updated roadmap shared details for the big updates coming in 2025. The planned updates include two new DLC, codenamed “Spectrum” and “Aurora,” alongside a console port for Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 scheduled for summer.
Here are the updated dates posted by 11 Bit Studios:
- May 8th – A day to be remembered: a Free Major Content Update that will adjust the City’s management, paying homage to the order established by the first New Londoners.
- Summer – A grand undertaking: the Console Port.
- Autumn – Reaching the Spectrum DLC, which may help us learn more about ourselves and the people of our great city in more ways than one…
The updated roadmap provides more concise dates for the planned updates. May 8 will provide a big patch update, implementing major gameplay adjustments.
A third update is supposedly planned for 2026 – but no information was revealed in 11 Bit Studio’s community update.

Frostpunk 2 released in September of 2024, and has since sold over 500,000 copies. The game earned “Best Gameplay” award at the 2024 Gamescom Awards, and receives patch updates around once every two months.
