Hanhwa Life Esports emerged victorious at LCK grand finals, defeating Gen.G 3-2 in a best of five format. The victory qualified the team for First Stand, the first international League of Legends competition of the season.
Choi ‘Zeus’ Woo-je earned the title of MVP of LCK Cup 2025 — earning 2 million won as a reward. The top laner, previously signed with T1, showcased his impressive champion pool in the Fearless Draft Format.
The esports team won the LCK Summer 2024 Split as well, where they defeated Gen.G 3-2 at the finals. Expectations for Hanwha Life Esports’ performance in First Stand are high, given their strong showing in the LCK over the past year.
First Stand will take place in LoL Park, which is located in Seoul, South Korea, and begins on March 10. The competition will feature Split 1 champions from the LCK, LPL, LTA, LEC, and LCP and will be the first major international tournament to implement the Fearless Draft format.
The LCK continues its scheduled split in April, with the winners qualifying for MSI 2025. No start date has been announced, but it will undoubtably begin after First Stand concludes on March 16.
