A pair of new Brawlers, a revamped ranked system, 12 new Hypercharges, and a mini event that features UNO games are coming to the Brawl Stars, according to the latest Brawl Talk.
The master of time, Finx, is joining Brawl Stars first, hailing from the Starr Park escape room. His abilities focus on controlling time and slowing enemies down while giving his teammates a speed boost. His main attack, Chronocast, hits enemies with three projectiles. His Super, Time Warp, bends time in a designated area, slowing enemy projectiles while boosting his own. For his Gadget, Finxture let’s step back in time, rewinding to a position three seconds ago and also restore his max ammo from those three seconds.
The second newcomer is Lumi, the fire-and-ice metal drummer and member of Madevil Manor Trio. Lumi features a dual-element attack style. Her main attack is boomerang-style morning stars, which deal damage on both the way out and back. Her Super, Blast Beat, deals heavy area damage, with the third slam rooting enemies in place. Lumi’s gadgets tie into her fiery and freezing abilities, allowing her to create area effects that burn or freeze enemies.
Meanwhile, Hypercharges of Brawler’s Supers are getting a massive update with 12 new Hypercharge abilities for different Brawlers, rolling out in two stages:
- Carl’s Flamespin creates a fiery path of rocks that burn enemies who cross it,
- Mandy’s Sugar for All launches projectiles in three different directions,
- Hank’s Homing Fish-iles torpedoes now track and home in on enemies,
- Bo’s Catch a Bear places five mines now, up from the usual three, without replacing any already placed mines,
- Bea’s Protect the Queen projectiles split into two when reaching maximum distance,
- Meg’s Tungsten Toughness greatly extends the range and grants her a shield when activated,
- Mr. P’s Super Porters Assemble now spawns stronger Porters from home base and allows two active Super Porters at the same time,
- Buster’s Plot Armor expands the shield all around him, and any reflected projectiles deal additional damage,
- Chester’s Crunchy, Chewy, Gooey throws a sweet that explodes, causing damage, spreading a poison cloud, and leaving a slowing area for several seconds,
- Lola’s Inflated Ego allows her to summon a giant, inflated Ego with enhanced health and damage,
- Grom’s Ground Bomb Goes Boom causes a secondary explosion in an X-shaped pattern, dealing damage, destroying walls, and knocking back enemies,
- Sam’s Hyper Fist makes His Knuckle Buster move faster and fully charges his Super if it hits any enemy Brawler during the hypercharge.
With this update Brawl Stars is also overhauling its ranked system, introducing a new Pro Pass and new rewards for players. This update also adds more competitive matches and offers a new Brawler lineup each month, starting with Emz, Gene, and Leon in March 2025.
On top of that, Brawl Stars is teaming up with UNO for a limited-time mini-event. The UNO Chester Skin is the highlight, alongside a special game mode where players collect and play UNO cards. The goal is to be the first team to discard all their cards, with each UNO Action card offering special effects.
The upcoming March season, Dark Sands, is about to bring a new theme. The Brawl Pass will feature the Mummified Frank skin, and the Brawl Pass Plus will offer Charcoal Frank and Papyrus Frank. Meanwhile, Super Brawl season introduces skins based on designs from the Supercell MAKE community, including Justice Master Bibi and Spectaculor Sam. Besides that, several new skins like Carnival Mandy and P.E.K.K.A.S.H are making their debut.
