Devolver Digital and Croteam have announced that The Talos Principle: Reawakened will launch on April 10, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The release date was revealed on Steam alongside an official demo for the game.
The Talos Principle: Reawakened is a remastered version of the critically acclaimed The Talos Principle, which was originally released in December of 2014. This definitive edition of the game, built in Unreal Engine 5, includes all the content in the original game, the Road to Gehenna expansion, and a brand new chapter: In the Beginning.
A feature being added to the remastered game is a new puzzle editor, which allows players to shape “new worlds and inspire generations of Talos fans to come.”
Croteam added extensive developer commentary, giving players a chance to explore why and how the game was developed. The commentary supposedly dives “into inspirations and design philosophies of Croteam’s genre-defining experience.”
The Talos Principle is a first-person puzzle game developed by Croteam. It blends traditional storytelling elements with complex environmental puzzles, creating a unique experience that challenges players to question the nature of human consciousness and free will.
