The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) has officially unveiled 11 esports titles that will feature in the 2026 Asian Games from Sept. 9 to Oct. 4, 2026, in Nagoya, the capital and largest city of Aichi Prefecture in Japan.
After the successful inclusion of esports in the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou, the 2026 edition will feature four additional titles:
- Street Fighter 6,
- Pokémon Unite,
- Honor of Kings,
- League of Legends (Asian Games Version),
- PUBG (Asian Games Version),
- Mobile Legends: Bang Bang,
- Dream Three Kingdoms 2,
- NARAKA: Bladepoint,
- Gran Turismo 7,
- eFootball (the latest iteration),
- Puyo Puyo Champions.
The 2026 event sees some changes compared to the 2023 lineup, with several games being replaced. For instance, EA Sports FC, Dota 2, and Arena of Valor have been swapped out for eFootball, NARAKA: Bladepoint, and Puyo Puyo Champions. The inclusion of Gran Turismo 7 is also a novelty.
The Hangzhou 2023 event saw over 146,000 peak viewers for League of Legends and 78,000 for Dota 2 (excluding Chinese viewership). In 2026 it will be the third time esports is featured at the Asian Games, following its official debut as a medal event in 2023 after a demonstration event in 2018.
