Dune: Awakening Gets a Release Date and a Pre-Launch Character Creator

Funcom has officially revealed the release date of Dune: Awakening – May 20, 2025, along with pre-launch Character Creator.
Players can dive into some of the game’s details starting Feb. 20 as Dune: Awakening’s developer has launched a Character Creator on the game’s Steam page. Using it, gamers can prepare their playable personas in advance, as detailed characters can be imported directly into the game when it launches.
Character Creator allows players to build a hero’s face, select starting abilities, and choose a caste, home planet and a mentor, including Swordmaster, Bene Gesserit, Mentat, and Trooper. Participants of Character Creator will receive Frameblade knife skin for use at launch.
Game’s developer Funcom stated that the upcoming title is based on Frank Herbert’s sci-fi novel Dune, inspired by recent movies and promises an open-world multiplayer survival experience.
