Cyberpunk 2077 Sequel Targets ‘Unprecedented’ Crowd Realism Rivaling GTA 6

Recent CD Projekt Red’s job listing has revealed that the company is aiming to create the most realistic crowd system in the upcoming sequel to Cyberpunk 2077.
In a job posting for a Lead Encounter Designer, CD Projekt Red detailed a key responsibility for the role: “Work in close collaboration with the systems design team to create the most realistic and reactive crowd system in any game to date.”
The game codenamed Project Orion, is being developed by CD Projekt Red’s North American division with studios in Boston and Vancouver.
The Cyberpunk 2077 sequel is just one of the major projects for CD Projekt Red, along with The Witcher 4, which was announced in December 2024 on The Game Awards.
One of CD Projekt Red’s biggest competitors, who is also trying to bring the latest technology to their games, is Rockstar, with its upcoming release of GTA 6 in 2025.
