|
- An unidentified Valve game was added on Steam.
- The game in question has a server attached to it, presumably making it an online game.
- Reddit users are thinking that this might actually be Half-Life 3.
A mysterious Valve game was just spotted by gamers on Reddit and it seems to have a server attached to it. The game currently has no name and no information whatsoever about it.
The new entry was spotted in SteamDB and contained a comment from xPaw, the owner of the website. The comment says that it’s a new game from Valve, they also tagged another entry which seems to be the server for the game. Aside from it being a game from Valve, there’s not much known about the entry.
It’s definitely possible for Valve to not do anything about these. On the contrary, this might actually be a new online game from them, considering that it has a server. Deadlock, Valve’s Third-Person MOBA Shooter hybrid, was also first spotted in SteamDB prior to its announcement.
The Reddit thread that spotted this has dropped their guesses with the top one being Half-Life 3. According to a Reddit user named TheInvisibleOnes, the hidden repositories function of Steam was only added in Mid-December of last year. This is around the same time there were leaks about Half Life X.
Valve is the studio behind Portal, Half-Life, and Counter-Strike. It’s one of the most beloved video game studios in the world due to their ability to produce memorable games. The latest game in their library is Deadlock, which is still currently in playtesting and reaches more than 10,000 players daily.
