The publisher, known for franchises such as Dynasty Warriors, Nioh, and Ninja Gaiden, announced that Koinuma will officially assume the role on April 1, 2025. Koinuma, who has served as the representative director and chief operating officer (COO) of Koei Tecmo Games, will now lead the company as representative director, president, and CEO.

Yoichi Erikawa will transition to the position of representative director and chairman of Koei Tecmo Holdings. At the same time, Keiko Erikawa will also step down as chairman and representative director, taking on the role of director and chairman emeritus.

Koei Tecmo is also undergoing a corporate restructuring. The company will establish Koei Tecmo Corporate Finance as a new subsidiary through an absorption-type company split. This move, which bundles the company’s investment functions into the new division, is aimed at strengthening governance and optimizing cash management while Koei Tecmo Games continues its operations as usual.
