  1. Yui, the creator of the Elden Ring Seamless Co-op mod, is making one for Dark Souls 3.
  2. The mod aims to create the same experience they were able to do with the Elden Ring version.
  3. Yui is currently working on it with no release date in sight as of writing.

The creator of Elden Ring’s popular Seamless Co-op mod is now working on bringing the same functionality to Dark Souls 3. Yui, the modder known for improving Elden Ring’s multiplayer experience by allowing uninterrupted co-op without automatic disconnections upon death, has announced plans to develop a similar mod for Dark Souls 3.

Yui uploaded a video on YouTube showcasing the mod in action. The video contains spoilers, however. The video description reads that the mod is currently in the works, but no release date was mentioned. The Dark Souls 3 mod, just like the Elden Ring mod, aims to make co-op a smoother experience for all the players involved.

The mod aims to allow all players to play with their friends from the start until the end of the game. This includes no resummoning after death and interruptions. Yui also mentioned that progress will be synchronized. Aside from the brief description they’ve provided in the YouTube video, there’s not much known about the project yet.

Dark Souls 3 was released in 2016 to critical acclaim. IGN rated it a 9.5 and Famitsu gave it a 38/40. Metacritic also sees the game in the high 80s across the platforms it was released in.
