  3. Summer Game Fest will be streamed on YouTube and Twitch.

On January 30, Summer Game Fest announced its return on Twitter and it’s going to happen on June 6-9, 2025, in Los Angeles, California.

According to the Twitter post by Summer Game Fest, this year’s event will happen in YouTube Theater in LA where the last two events happened. This year, there will be more than 40 leading game publishers joining Geoff ready to announce what they’re cooking for the year and beyond.

Even if E3 is already dead, its spirit is still alive with game companies and publishers often taking June as the time to announce their upcoming games. The biggest platform for most publishers is Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest as its viewership can easily go past 1 million.

Summer Game Fest has been successful in each of its shows, often showcasing huge games that fans have been waiting for. Past games that were showcased in the event were:

  • Elden Ring
  • Black Myth: Wukong
  • Monster Hunter Stories Remaster
  • Palworld
  • Tales of Arise
  • Escape from Tarkov
  • Payday 3

Summer Game Fest was Geoff Keighley’s answer to the cancelation of E3 2020 citing E3’s changes to its approach as something he doesn’t “feel comfortable participating”. Since then, Summer Game Fest has replaced E3 with the latter shutting down in December of 2024.

Summer Game Fest will be streamed on YouTube and Twitch.
