Industry leaker Nate the Hate has detailed an impressive lineup of games allegedly set for release on the next-generation console, including contributions from Square Enix, Ubisoft, Konami, and even Microsoft.

Nate the Hate suggested in a recent podcast that the Switch 2 could launch with a new Mario Kart, expected as early as May or June 2025. A 3D Mario game is rumored to follow for the holiday season.

Ubisoft, a frequent Nintendo collaborator, is reportedly bringing a port of Assassin’s Creed Mirage during the console’s launch window, with Assassin’s Creed Shadows expected later.

Square Enix is also rumored to be on board, planning releases for Final Fantasy 7 Remake in 2025 and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth in 2026. If this happens, these games would mark the first time high-profile PlayStation titles become available on a Nintendo console.

Beyond launch exclusives, Ubisoft is reportedly preparing ports of The Division series, Rainbow Six Siege, and a bundled re-release of Mario + Rabbids games. Meanwhile, Konami is said to be working on a Switch 2 version of Metal Gear Solid Delta.

Xbox titles may also be coming to the Switch 2. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and Halo: The Master Chief Collection are among the games reportedly being adapted for the new Nintendo Switch. Nintendo has confirmed in the Switch 2 reveal that it will be backward-compatible with original Switch games and retain support for Nintendo Switch Online.
