Baldur’s Gate 3 by Larian has reached a milestone of 100 million mod downloads. To mark the occasion, Larian has officially added the fan-created “Withers Big Naturals” mod to its list of approved mods, making it accessible on PC and consoles.

The mod, created by MaybeeAdam, humorously reimagines Withers, the in-game undead companion, with an exaggerated chest, referencing the popular “Gandalf Big Naturals” meme that first gained traction on Tumblr in 2021.

Larian celebrated the milestone with a post on X featuring Withers and the text “100 million mod downloads,” where the zeros in “100 million” were cleverly replaced by Withers’ enhanced chest. The post was captioned, “You are modding naturals.”

Within two months since the game added official mod support in October 2024, players had downloaded 50 million mods, including 100,000 downloads of a mod that humorously renamed Withers to “Bone Daddy”.

The game’s upcoming final major patch will introduce significant updates, including twelve new subclasses, cross-play functionality, and a photo mode. Players can preview the patch during a stress test before its official release.

Larian initially explored the idea of a follow-up to Baldur’s Gate 3 but decided to pivot after internal discussions and already turning its attention to the next project, codenamed “Excalibur.”
