Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League (PS5)
This January, Rocksteady Studios tops up PS Plus with a 2024 action-adventure shooter published by Warner Bros Games. Based on the concept of the DC Comics team Suicide Squad, the game is also a spin-off of the Batman: Arkham series and a follow-up to Batman: Arkham Knight (2015).
Open-world design allows players to freely roam Metropolis in a third-person perspective. With its unique blend of single-player and co-op multiplayer mode, gamers can play for one of four infamous DC villains: Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, or King Shark. For fans who want to fill in the gaps in the story, there’s a prequel comic book titled Suicide Squad: Kill Arkham Asylum. It bridges the narrative between the events of Arkham Knight and Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, detailing how Amanda Waller took control of Arkham Asylum and assembled Task Force X for their mission to eliminate the Justice League.
Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered (PS4)
For racing enthusiasts, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered brings the adrenaline-pumping action of high-speed chases and strategic takedowns to the January 2025 PS Plus lineup. Whether outrunning the law or enforcing it, players can enjoy a thrilling experience with a lineup of high-performance cars and intense gameplay.
The remaster includes enhanced visuals, cross-platform multiplayer, and all previously released DLC, making this the definitive version of Criterion Games’ 2010 classic. On top of that, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered offers such catching features: an asynchronous Autolog competition system that keeps the rivalry alive even when friends are offline.
As of now, Electronic Arts has not publicly disclosed the total sales figures for the remaster of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, while the 2010 release of the original game sold over 5 million copies.
The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe (PS4, PS5)
The Stanley Parable is a 2013 story-based video game designed and written by developers Davey Wreden and William Pugh. The Ultra Deluxe edition brings fresh content, modernized visuals, and accessibility features such as colorblind options and content warnings.
The Stanley Parable explores themes of choice in video games, predestination and fate, and the relationship between a game creator and the player.
Its unique storytelling has left a lasting impression on the media, leading to its appearance in the popular TV show House of Cards and serving as an inspiration for the Apple TV+ series Severance.
