Wolfenstein serves as a thrilling direct sequel to Return to Castle Wolfenstein and Spear of Destiny/Wolfenstein RPG. This game introduces a reimagined B.J. Blazkowicz, sporting an edgy dark-haired look and an unshaven appearance, dressed in casual attire instead of his iconic military gear.
Players will engage in intense combat against various types of Nazis, from standard soldiers to agile ninjas, as they blast their way through relentless hordes. Equipped with classic WWII weapons such as the German MP40 and K98 rifle, players have an arsenal at their fingertips. Throughout the game, players will discover a powerful medallion that grants four extraordinary abilities. Initially, entering the Veil allows players to see enemies more clearly and utilize bizarre flying creatures as explosive devices. As they progress, they gain the ability to slow down time, create a protective shield, and enhance their strength. However, the medallion’s formidable powers come at a cost, requiring energy refills at almost invisible power spots within the real world.
Set against the backdrop of World War II, this gripping storyline unfolds in the fictional town of Isenstadt, where the Nazis have imposed martial law to dig for the elusive Nachtsonne crystals, crucial for tapping into the mysterious “Black Sun” dimension. Players step into the shoes of B.J. Blazkowicz, tasked with infiltrating Isenstadt to locate the powerful Thule Medallion along with four precious crystals to thwart the Nazis’ sinister plans.
