After the enigmatic entity known as Verse wreaked havoc on the KOF arena, its menace was silenced thanks to the heroic action of the victorious challengers.

With time having passed since that chaotic tournament’s conclusion, the next King of Fighters event is about to kick off, fueled by a new sponsorship.

In the meantime, Chizuru Kagura detects a disturbance in the Orochi seal, also referred to as Gaia’s Will. She joins forces with Kyo Kusanagi and Iori Yagami to enter the KOF and uncover the mystery.

Amidst these diverse motivations, fighters resurrected following Verse’s downfall are also stepping into the battle. Once again, an exciting storm looms on the horizon…
