Perfect Dark

Perfect Dark is an iconic first-person shooter game created by Rare and released by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64 console. Often regarded as the spiritual successor to the classic GoldenEye 007, it boasts many similar gameplay elements. Launched in North America on May 22, 2000, Perfect Dark was followed by releases for PAL and NTSC-J regions. Additionally, a separate Game Boy Color version, also named Perfect Dark, was introduced in August 2000, offering players the chance to unlock features in the Nintendo 64 title through a Transfer Pak.

The game includes an engaging single-player campaign with 17 missions, where players step into the shoes of Joanna Dark, an agent from the Carrington Institute, as she uncovers a conspiracy from the rival corporation dataDyne. Perfect Dark also delivers a variety of multiplayer modes, featuring cooperative play and classic deathmatch formats. Technologically advanced for its time, it supports optional high-resolution graphics and features Dolby Surround Sound. To fully experience the game’s campaign and unlock most multiplayer options, a Nintendo 64 Expansion Pak is essential.
