Monster Hunter 4
Monster Hunter 4 marks the second installment in this acclaimed series to launch on the Nintendo 3DS, boasting significant updates and enhancements that distinguish it from its predecessors. Initially released exclusively in Japan, the game later saw an enhanced version, known as Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate (or 4G in Japan), debut in Europe and North America.
This sequel places a greater focus on dynamic platforming, allowing players to ascend walls with greater fluidity and tackle environments filled with vertical challenges. For the first time, hunters can latch onto monsters and engage in thrilling attacks. The game features expansive environments that provide more verticality, while the new Frenzy Virus mechanic adds an extra layer of difficulty, making some monsters more formidable than ever. Iconic monsters from previous entries make a return, including Rathalos, Rathian, Tigrex, and Yian Kut-Ku—check out the full list in MH4: Monsters. Additionally, players can explore two new weapon classes: the Insect Glaive and the Charge Blade, further enriching the gameplay experience.
