Honkai Impact 3rd immerses players in a captivating alternate Earth, ravaged by disasters stemming from the enigmatic “Honkai,” which translates to “the collapse.” This malicious energy is perceived as an evil force with its own agenda, corrupting humans into monstrous undead and taking on various terrifying forms. The select few known as “Herrschers” are bestowed with extraordinary, god-like abilities that can unleash apocalyptic chaos. The Honkai phenomenon is cyclical, returning to obliterate civilization whenever human advancement reaches a critical point; the Previous Era met its demise 50,000 years before the game begins, when the 14th Herrscher vanquished humanity.

Today, a multitude of global factions are either fighting against or exploiting the Honkai’s powers. Among them is “Schicksal,” a European peacekeeping force deploying courageous Valkyries to combat the threat; “Anti-Entropy,” initially the North American branch of Schicksal, advocates for the use of advanced mechanized warriors over human fighters; and the elusive “World Serpent,” a shadowy organization that has been manipulating events since the Previous Era.
