Gungrave
Gungrave, an action-packed third-person shooter created and published by Red Entertainment (with Sega handling distribution in North America and Activision in Europe), is available for the PlayStation 2. The game takes players on an exhilarating journey with its protagonist as he navigates through multiple levels in his quest for vengeance.
The game kicks off with a young girl struggling to pull an oversized briefcase toward a warehouse. “Bloody” Harry Macdowell has staged a coup against Big Daddy, the powerful leader of the Millennion organization, and his daughter Mika desperately needs to find someone who can safeguard her and thwart Harry’s sinister schemes. Inside the warehouse are a kind-hearted old doctor and a rugged man sporting a prominent scar. When Mika arrives, the scarred man claims the briefcase’s contents: two enormous handguns. This character is revealed to be Grave, the iconic protagonist of the game, and now armed, he’s ready to embark on his mission.
Gungrave unfolds its gameplay through a series of intense missions assigned by Dr. T. The first objective is to gather intel on the Millennion organization from a low-level street gang, followed by a task to obliterate a research facility that manufactures Harry’s undead soldiers. In the third mission, while trying to extract information from an informant, Grave confronts the leaders of the Millennion organization—former allies who have now become his adversaries, each empowered by the very research that Harry endorsed. From this point onward, Grave faces relentless pursuit from each of these foes as he navigates his way to Harry’s tower in the heart of the city.
