Dota 2 is an acclaimed multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game and the standalone sequel to the popular Defense of the Ancients (DotA) mod. In every Dota 2 match, two teams of five players each battle it out from fortified strongholds located at opposite ends of the map. Each match is independent, meaning past games don’t impact future ones, and all heroes are readily accessible without the need for purchasing or unlocking.
