Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia
Dissidia stands out from traditional Final Fantasy titles by embracing a dynamic fighting game format rather than sticking to the classic RPG style. However, it still retains the intricate storytelling, character leveling, and customization that fans love. The game showcases iconic characters from the Final Fantasy franchise, featuring a hero and villain from each installment. The narrative centers around an epic clash between two deities, Cosmos and Chaos, where heroes must team up to battle Chaos’ forces and retrieve crystals essential for defeating him. Each character embarks on their own unique campaign, culminating in the acquisition of these powerful crystals.
Players can also engage in single battles and an exhilarating arcade mode, allowing them to pick their fighter. In arcade mode, opponents are automatically assigned, but all character experience and skills earned during the campaign carry over to other game modes, ensuring continuity (for instance, if Cloud reaches level 12 in his campaign, he retains that level in the character roster for Arcade or Quick Battle mode).
Additionally, a standout feature allows players to keep items found throughout the campaign and transfer them between characters at will. The game also offers bonus content such as additional villains, outfits, and more, which can be unlocked using PP earned from each battle or completed campaign.
