Set in the wake of the devastating Calamity, this action role-playing game immerses players in the fractured city of Caelondia, a once-thriving metropolis now reduced to a collection of floating islands and ash-covered ruins. You step into the shoes of the Kid, a silent hero who awakens on one of the last remnants of the old world, embarking on a journey to reach the legendary Bastion, a safe haven during chaos. There, he encounters Rucks, the wise narrator, who guides him in gathering the powerful Cores that once fueled Caelondia. With the Bastion’s ability to harness these crystalline Cores, the Kid can reshape the land and soar through the skies on magical skyways.
As the adventure unfolds, the Kid meets fellow survivors: Zulf, a diplomatic representative from the Ura—an underground race long at odds with Caelondia—and Zia, a young Ura woman raised in the city. Their return to the Bastion, however, takes a dark turn when Zulf sabotages the monument, leading to turmoil. As secrets unravel, it is revealed that Zia’s father, Venn, a former scientist, had created a devastating weapon meant to annihilate the Ura, but instead, he engineered the very Calamity that shattered the world.
