Battlefield REDSEC to receive esports series with over 1M in prize money

On Nov. 21, 2025, EA announced that Battlefield REDSEC is going to have two esports series, featuring over $1 million in prize money across the globe. There will be two versions of the series: Open and Elite.

EA has already invited 50 team captains for the inaugural Elite series of the esport, which will feature the top Battlefield players as well as some top first-person shooter talents. Each of the captains will create their own squads to participate in the tournament.

There will be three regions participating in the series: Americas, EMEA and APAC. The tournament format revealed that there will be three qualifying match days that players will compete in to get points. The top 25 squads in each of the regions will qualify for their respective region season finals.

The prize pool distribution will be as follows:

• Americas: $50,000 for each qualifying match, $500,000 for the region season finals.
• EMEA and APAC: $20,000 for each qualifying match, $285,000 for the region season finals.

The first match in the Elite series will be played on Dec. 10, 2025. EA also added that all matches will be played online.

Last but not least, the Open Series is going to be available for everybody who wants to participate. Squads will have to register themselves on the Repeat app, where they can access the tournament series and be able to join the games. EA mentioned that the prize pool is going to be $10,000 for each of the open series season finals.
