Marvel Rivals Upcoming Character Ultron Abilities Revealed

Ultron, the next character for Marvel Rivals, had his abilities leaked. The hero releases on May 30, releasing during the beginning of the second half of Marvel Rivals Season 2. According to leaks, which revealed a screen shot of the character’s overview, Ultron plays as a strategist. 

Here are all of Marvel Rivals Ultron’s abilities: 

Encephalo-Ray (Left Click) 

• Unleash a burning energy Beam 

Rage of Ultron (Ultimate, Q) 

• Summons Ultron Drones to fire Encephalo-Rays, damaging enemies or healing allies.

Dynamic Flight (L Shift)

• Fly quickly in the direction of movement and then enter a free-flight mode. 

Imperative: Patch (E)

• Command a giant drone to follow an ally, constantly healing allies in its radius, with additional healing for the designated ally. 

Imperative: Firewall (Right Click)

• Summon drones to grant bonus Health to allies within range, centred on himself and the ally marked with Imperative: Patch

Algorithm Correction (Passive)

• HOLD SPACE to fall slowly.

It appears Ultron’s playstyle is centered around his flight and drone placement. Placing drones grants healing, while his flight allows him to position to better heal his allies. As with most strategists, Ulton in Marvel Rivals has damaging abilities – but his kit is far more catered towards supporting allies than maximizing his own DPS. 

Ultron’s ability reveal was a leak – meaning NetEase has not officially revealed the AI’s kit themselves. Therefore, some of the abilities may be subject to change. 

Research by NewZoo states that 45% of Overwatch 2 players who stopped playing in December 2024 switched to Marvel Rivals. Marvel Rivals featured an all-time peak of 644,269 players, while Overwatch 2’s all-time peak was 75,608 users.
