Many heroes have had their butt cheeks expanded in the latest Marvel Rivals season 2 update. NetEase remained quiet regarding the visual update, but it was not long after the season began when gamers noticed the change.
A Redditor shared before and after progress pics – showcasing the gluteus maximus expanding in size after the season 2 update. Heroes who had their butt pics shared on Reddit were Wolverine, Star Lord, Mister Fantastic, Moon Knight, and Winter Soldier.
Marvel Rivals’ character design accentuates body proportions as a design choice, showcased by Venom’s cake on display during his twerk dance as well as Malice Invisible Woman’s accentuated figure. The update to a select number of heroes in Season 2 bring the design philosophies more consistent throughout the hero roster – giving everyone cake rather than leaving some with a flat butt.
Research by NewZoo states that 45% of Overwatch 2 players who stopped playing in December 2024 switched to Marvel Rivals. Marvel Rivals featured an all-time peak of 644,269 players, while Overwatch 2’s all-time peak was 75,608 users. As of April 11, there are a total of ten Marvel Rivals free costumes available. Some of the free costumes are available to unlock with no time limit, while others have specified end dates.
