Besides that, Yoko Shimomura, a Japanese composer and pianist, known for composing music scores for such games as Final Fantasy XV, Mario & Luigi, Xenoblade Chronicles, Kingdom Hearts series, Streets of Rage, the Mana series, Super Mario RPG, Live A Live, Radiant Historia, Parasite Eve, Breather of Fire and Street Fighter II was honored with a BAFTA Fellowship, a lifetime achievement award.

BAFTA Games Awards, also known as the British Academy Games Awards, have been presented by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) since February 2004, marking the ceremony of 2025 a 21st and the fourth in a row hosted at Queen Elizabeth Hall.

It is worth noting that the public-voted poll for the Most Influential Game of All Time brought a lot of confusion and became the most debated nomination ahead of the ceremony.
