Pokemon Go adds Tinkatink as celebration for Pokemon Horizons Season 2

The Pokemon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event returns to Pokemon Go, commemorating the second season of Pokemon Horizons. As part of the event, Pokemon Go debuts the Tinkatink evolution line – hailing from the region of Paldea. 

Wielding a tiny raddle at first, Tinkatink evolves into Tinkatuff – which later evolves into Tinkaton, a Pokemon that utilizes a hammer bigger than itself. It takes 25 candies to evolve Tinkatink into Tinkatuff, and 100 candies to evolve Tinkatuff into Tinkaton. This marks 125 total candies needed to reach the final evolution.

Eggs

The following Pokémon will hatch from 7 km Eggs:

  • Elekid*
  • Hatenna
  • Charcadet*
  • Tinkatink

After the event ends, Tinkatink may hatch from 10 km Eggs.

*If you’re lucky, you may encounter a Shiny one!

Event Bonuses

  • Team GO Rocket balloons will appear more frequently.
  • 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during the event.
  • Increased chance to encounter Shiny Pikachu wearing Cap’s hat and Shiny Floragato wearing a hat with Liko’s pin.

Surprise Encounters

  • Smile! You might have a surprise encounter with characters and Pokémon seen in Pokémon Horizons: The Series when you take a snapshot during the event!

Wild Encounters

The following Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild:

  • Quagsire
  • Shuckle*
  • Slugma*
  • Nosepass*
  • Snorunt*
  • Sprigatito*
  • Floragato wearing a hat with Liko’s pin*
  • Fuecoco*
  • Quaxly
  • Pawmi

Some Trainers might even encounter the following!

  • Pikachu wearing Cap’s hat*

*If you’re lucky, you may encounter a Shiny one!

Pikachu wearing Cap’s hat encountered during the event will know the Charged Attack Volt Tackle.

  • Volt Tackle
    • Trainer Battles: 90 power and decreases Defense by one stage
    • Gyms and raids: 90 power

Raids

The following Pokémon will appear in raids:

  • One-Star Raids
    • Pikachu wearing Cap’s hat*
    • Chansey*
    • Rockruff*
  • Three-Star Raids
    • Charizard*
    • Alolan Muk
    • Metagross
    • Floragato wearing a hat with Liko’s pin*

*If you’re lucky, you may encounter a Shiny one!

Field Research

  • Event-themed Field Research tasks will be available!
  • Complete Field Research tasks to earn Stardust and encounters with Pikachu wearing Cap’s hat.

Timed Research

  • There will be a free Timed Research opportunity available.
  • Complete tasks to earn XP, Stardust, and encounters with event-themed Pokémon.
  • Please note that Timed Research expires. The tasks associated with this Timed Research must be completed and their rewards must be claimed before Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time.

Paid Timed Research

  • For US$4.99 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency), you’ll be able to access event-exclusive Timed Research.
  • Timed Research rewards include the following:
    • One Incubator
    • An event-themed avatar pose
    • Encounters with Tinkatink
    • And more!
  • Trainers will be able to purchase and gift tickets to any of their Pokémon GO friends that they have achieved a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher with. Please note that purchases—including those made for other Trainers—are non-refundable (subject to applicable law and the exceptions set forth in the Terms of Service). Tickets cannot be purchased with PokéCoins.
  • Please note that Timed Research expires. The tasks associated with this Timed Research must be completed and their rewards must be claimed before Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time.

PokéStop Showcases

  • Be on the lookout for Showcases at different PokéStops where you can enter event-themed Pokémon!

In the month of March, Scopely, the company behind Monopoly GO!, acquired Pokemon Go. This acquisition cost Scopely $3.5 billion, and provided them all of Niantic’s games – including Monster Hunter Now as well.
