Microsoft has unveiled the second wave of titles joining Xbox Game Pass for January 2025. This update sets the stage for Microsoft’s Xbox Developer Direct on Jan. 23, where even more reveals are expected.

The new additions to Game Pass start on Jan. 21, with Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders launching on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. This sequel to Lonely Mountains: Downhill now supports up to eight players in cross-platform multiplayer.

Jan. 22 brings:

  • Flock (Console),

A multiplayer co-op game focused on flight and collecting whimsical flying creatures.

  • Gigantic: Rampage Edition (Cloud, Console, and PC),

Re-release of the popular 5v5 MOBA hero shooter with upgradeable characters and strategic team battles.

  • Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess (Console),

A Japanese-inspired action-strategy game combining purification and defense mechanics.

  • Magical Delicacy (Console),

Culinary adventure game.

  • Tchia (Xbox Series X|S),

Tropical open-world exploration game.

  • The Case of the Golden Idol (Console),

A mystery-solving narrative adventure.

  • Starbound (Cloud and Console),

Sci-fi sandbox exploration game.

On Jan. 28, two titles come to the platform as day-one launches. The first one is Eternal Strands, an action-adventure game blending magical abilities with powerful weapons, created by Yellow Brick Games, a studio formed by industry veterans who used to work on Dragon Age and Mass Effect. The second one is Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap – a title that combines rogue-lite elements with third-person action and cooperative gameplay for up to four players.

Jan. 29 introduces Shady Part of Me, a surreal puzzle-platformer with an emotional narrative voiced by a star of the fantasy series Game of Thrones, Hannah Murray.

Sniper Elite: Resistance arrives on Jan. 30 as a day-one Game Pass launch, bringing usual sniping mechanics, stealth, and cooperative gameplay.

Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector debuts On Jan. 31  as a day-one release. This sequel promises a sci-fi journey with dice-driven mechanics and a focus on character-driven storytelling.

The lineup concludes with the addition of Far Cry New Dawn, a spin-off and sequel to Far Cry 5, and the eleventh overall installment in the Far Cry series on Feb. 4.

  • Darkest Dungeon
  • Death’s Door
  • Maquette
  • Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem

The Xbox Developer Direct series of livestream events by the Microsoft Gaming division will bring more news and more details about upcoming content on Jan. 23.
