- Bloodlines 2 was delayed to October 2025 to ensure better technical quality and polish.
- Dev diaries are paused as The Chinese Room focuses on final QA before launch.
- The Entertainment Software Rating Board has given Bloodlines 2 an M rating.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is officially skipping the first half of 2025. Developer The Chinese Room and publisher Paradox Interactive announced that RPG will now launch in October 2025, citing a continued focus on quality assurance and technical polish.
The decision was shared in a new development update video, where studio director Marco Behrmann stated the game is in its late development phase but still needs more time to meet the quality bar. While the game won’t arrive as early as hoped, the team emphasized that stability and bug-free gameplay are top priorities.
Also, Paradox is pausing its development diary updates to let the team focus entirely on finishing the game, but the official Bloodlines 2 Discord will remain active for community questions and discussion.
This marks yet another delay for the sequel, which has seen the developer change and was postponed multiple times since it was officially announced in 2019. The Chinese Room, known for narrative-driven titles like Dear Esther and Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, took over initial developer Hardsuit Labs in 2023 and has been reshaping the game ever since.
It is worth noting that the Entertainment Software Rating Board has given Bloodlines 2 an M rating (Mature 17+).
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is set to release on PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S. The game follows the story of an elder vampire living in 21st-century Seattle, who must choose a clan, each offering unique vampiric abilities, while feeding on mortals and avoiding discovery.
