  1. Monster Hunter Wilds’ first free title update drops on April 3, 2025.
  2. Mizutsune, the Leviathan first introduced in Monster Hunter Generations, is coming within the update.
  3. Monster Hunter Wilds will get a new communal area accessible from the Peaks of Accord, the Grand Hub.

Monster Hunter Wilds’ first free title update drops on April 3, 2025, bringing Mizutsune new missions and a social Grand Hub.

The headliner of the update is Mizutsune, the Leviathan first introduced in Monster Hunter Generations and more recently featured in Rise. Mizutsune will be available to players who have reached Hunter Rank 21, unlocking an Extra Mission through Kanya in the Scarlet Forest.

Hunters at Rank 50 or higher will get access to two challenges:

  • A time-limited event quest featuring an Arch-Tempered Rey Dau, offering new equipment as a reward,
  • Repeatable Zoh Shia hunts, unlocked through a specific new mission. Once the mission is completed, the monster has a low chance of appearing in the Ruins of Wyveria during a specific environmental state known as the Wyvern’s Wakening.

The update also introduces the Grand Hub, a new communal area accessible from the Peaks of Accord. Unlocked at Hunter Rank 16 by speaking with Tetsuzan, the Grand Hub will become the new base for managing squads, taking over from the Windward Plains’ Squad Information Counter. On top of that, Capcom teased the second Free Title Update for summer 2025.

The update announcement follows the game’s explosive launch earlier this month, where Monster Hunter Wilds became Capcom’s fastest-selling title ever, hitting 8 million copies sold within three days.
