Pokémon has declared 2025 the “Year of Eevee” and announced that the biggest annual gathering for Pokémon Go enthusiasts, Pokémon Go Fest 2025, will take place in Paris, Osaka, and Jersey City.
The Pokémon Center website has officially announced that 2025 is dubbed as the “Year of Eevee,” a Normal-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I, with a National № 0133 according to its Pokédex data.
The announcement aligns perfectly with the upcoming 2025 Pokémon Legends: Z-A game developed by Game Freak with Nintendo and The Pokémon Company as publishers. The game will return to the Kalos region, a locale inspired by France, fittingly, the site of this year’s Pokémon Go Fest European venue.
In addition to the Paris event, which will take place from June 13 to June 15, Pokémon Go Fest 2025 will kick off in Osaka, Japan, from May 29 to June 1, before heading to Jersey City, New Jersey, for the weekend of June 6 to June 8. Paris, following in the footsteps of previous European hosts such as Madrid, London, and Berlin, will serve as the final in-person stop before a global digital event, allowing players worldwide to participate.
According to the last known stats, Pokémon Go surpassed 1 billion downloads worldwide, making it one of the most downloaded mobile games ever and generated more than $6 billion in revenue through in-app purchases and other monetization strategies.
