GOG Expands Preservation Program with 27 Games, Including Silent Hill 4

Twenty-seven games, including Silent Hill 4: The Room and F.E.A.R. Platinum, were included in the GOG’s Preservation Program.
These updates are a part of GOG’s ongoing commitment to preserving gaming history. Since its launch in November 2023, The GOG Preservation Program aims to save old titles that are no longer supported by their developers, adjusting them for compatibility with current operating systems and hardware.
Silent Hill 4: The Room, a 2004 survival horror game, the fourth installment in the Silent Hill series developed by Team Silent and published by Konami, leads the March list of GOG’s Preservation Program’s updates. The title is now updated with improved compatibility for Windows 10 and 11, including content that was never available in the original PC release.
Besides that, F.E.A.R. Platinum first-person shooter psychological horror video game developed by Monolith Productions and published by Vivendi Universal Games, which includes the original F.E.A.R. along with its expansions, is getting a similar treatment from GOG.

As of the time of writing, in accordance with the Preservation Program’s web page, its catalog includes 141 titles, which experienced 744 improvements, with 500 titles in plans by the end of 2025.
