The Candy Crush All Stars tournament is back for its fifth year, offering a $1 million prize pool with a Smash Mouth’s track All Star as the event’s official anthem.
Starting March 20, 2025, Candy Crush players worldwide can compete over two months, progressing from initial qualifiers through knockout rounds, culminating in a live grand finale in Los Angeles.
It is worth noting that the Candy Crush All Stars event in 2024 saw more than 15 million players competing.
This year, tournament participants have a week until March 27 to qualify before facing elimination in the knockout stages. The top 10 gamers will clash live on stage for their part of the $1 million prize pool which is ten times bigger than prize pools at any of Marvel Rivals Invitationals in 2025.
Candy Crush Saga, the main title of Candy Crush franchise, is a free-to-play tile-matching video game released by King on April 12, 2012, originally for Facebook, with other versions for iOS, Android, Windows Phone, and Windows 10 followed later. The game is a variation of King’s browser game Candy Crush.
As of 2024, according to game developer’s data, this mobile “match three” game has generated over $21 billion in revenue since its 2012 launch and has been downloaded about 3.6 billion times.
