Capcom Launches Resident Evil 3 on Apple Devices

Resident Evil 3 Remake is now available for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. A 2020th survival horror game, a remake of the 1999 game Resident Evil 3: Nemesis developed and published by Capcom, was previously released for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One, and PC via Steam, as well as for Nintendo Switch.
The App Store release supports all iPhone 16 models, iPhone 15 Pro models, and any iPad or Mac with the M1 chip or later. Capcom offers a free download of the title so players can try the game before purchasing. If the user already owns the game on one Apple device, the saved data will transfer across all devices linked to the same Apple Account
On top of that, the port features customizable touch controls, along with a new Auto Fire feature, an option that allows players to automatically fire weapons once they are aimed at enemies. Resident Evil 3 on Apple devices also supports a variety of controllers.
In its first five days after release in April 2020, Resident Evil 3 (2020) shipped over two million units globally, with nearly half of these sales being digital. By June 2023, sales had reached 7.6 million units, and by the end of 2023, they had surpassed 8.4 million units. As of Dec. 31, 2024, Resident Evil 3 (2020) has sold 9.6 million units worldwide.
It is worth noting that the Resident Evil series has sold over 160 million copies worldwide as of Dec. 31, 2024, making it Capcom’s best-selling franchise and the top-selling horror game series.
