A roster of 40 esports organizations was selected for the Esports World Club Partner Program. This $20 million initiative announced by the Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) is about to offer each participating club up to $1 million in funding for marketing purposes and content campaigns leading up to and throughout the Esports World Cup 2025.
According to the statement on the EWC official website, the main purpose of The Club Partner Program is to boost engagement via marketing and content campaigns ahead of the EWC tournament that will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on July 7 – Aug. 24, 2025.
The program includes top-tier esports clubs with an overall fan base of over 300 million globally. As part of the initiative, these organizations will collaborate with the EWCF to produce exclusive behind-the-scenes content, player documentaries, and live fan experiences.
“We are thrilled to announce the 40 organizations that will participate in the 2025 Club Partner Program,” said Faisal Bin Homran, Chief Product Officer at EWCF.

The selected clubs were chosen from nearly 200 applications in view of their performance in the 2024 Club Championship, fan engagement, social media presence, and potential to expand globally. While eight clubs received direct invitations based on their rankings in the 2024 championship, the rest earned their spots through a competitive open application process. Nineteen of forty clubs are entering the program for the first time this year.
In its statement, EWCF remains clear that success in the Esports World Cup is not guaranteed by participation in the Club Partner Program. Esports organizations must qualify through official pathways to secure a spot in the 2025 tournament.
It is worth noting that the 2024 inaugural EWC showcased 1,500 esports athletes and 200 clubs from 100 countries. They participated in 22 tournaments across 21 different game disciplines, fighting for a $60 million prize pool. The inaugural event attracted 500 million online viewers and 2.6 million live attendees.
