Benchmark Leak Shows Performance Gains of AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D Over 7950X3D

|
- Ryzen 9 9950X3D shows a 14.1% single-thread performance boost over its predecessor, the Ryzen 9 7950X3D, according to PassMark.
- AMD’s flagship processor, 9950X3D, is planned for release on March 12, 2025.
- The PassMark benchmark also states that the Ryzen 9 9950X3D shows an 11.5% boost in multi-threaded tests over the Ryzen 9 7950X3D.
AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D stats were leaked via the PassMark benchmark just two days ahead of the CPU’s official release on March 12, 2025.
In single-threaded tests, the Ryzen 9 9950X3D scored 4739 points, while in multi-threaded performance, it hit 69701 points. These gains come despite the Ryzen 9 9950X3D’s close competition with Intel’s flagship, the Core Ultra 9 285K, where the AMD chip delivers around 3% better multi-threaded performance, though it trails by 7% in single-threaded tests.
