AMD Officially Reveals Prices for Ryzen 9 9950X3D and 9900X3D

AMD officially revealed the initial market prices for the Ryzen 9 series. The Ryzen 9 9950X3D will cost $699 and the 9900X3D will cost $599 – both prices are in USD and do not include tax.

The announcement was made on X by Jack Huynh, the senior vice president and general manager for AMD’S Computing and Graphics department.

In addition to the price points, AMD also confirmed that the “world’s best processor for gaming and content creation” will be releasing on March 12, 2025.

The market price upon release alongside release date for the upcoming hardware were leaked a day earlier on China’s largest direct-to-consumer retailer, JD.com. 

AMD initially introduced the Ryzen 9 9900XD and Ryzen 9 9900X3D at CES 2025 on January 6 – according to the company the Ryzen 9 995XD delivers an average of 20% boost in performance over Intel’s Core Ultra 9 285K, surpassing the Ryzen 9 7950XD in content creation workloads. 

The Ryzen 9 9900X3D has 12 cores and 24 threads, which is slightly less than the 16 cores and 32 threads present in the 9950X3D. 9900X3D boasts a higher base clock speed of 4.4 GHz, compared to the 9950X3D’s 4.3 GHz.
