- Sony introduces Centralized PlayStation Beta Program for PS5 and PC
- With a single registration, players will be considered for beta access to PS5 and PC games, new system features, PlayStation App and website updates
- The Beta Program at PlayStation is rolling out globally starting today
Sony has launched a new centralized Beta Program, streamlining the process for players to test PlayStation 5 and PC games, console updates, and app features before their official release. The Beta Program at PlayStation will serve as a single registration hub, making it easier for users to express interest in upcoming beta tests.
Sony describes the initiative as a “more accessible way” for players to participate in PlayStation betas. Previously, beta sign-ups were scattered across different platforms and test programs. Now, with a single registration, players will be considered for beta access to PS5 and PC games, new system features, PlayStation App updates, and user experience features on PlayStation.com. If selected, participants will receive an invitation to a specific beta and can choose whether to accept or decline.
The Beta Program at PlayStation is free to join, but players must have a PlayStation Network account in good standing, meet the legal age requirement for their region, and reside in a region where the program is available. Sony notes that while it aims to include as many players as possible, participation is not guaranteed, as selection will depend on demand and available spots in each test.
The Beta Program at PlayStation is rolling out globally starting today, with registration available at their official website. Sony advises checking back later if the page is not yet available in a specific region.
