Monster Hunter Wilds has sold 8 million units in three days after launch. According to Capcom’s official statement, this marks the fastest sales milestone in the company’s history, surpassing the previous record set by Monster Hunter World during its debut.
Released on Feb. 28, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC and powered by Capcom’s RE ENGINE Monster Hunter Wilds reached the peak of 1,384,608 concurrent users on Steam, ranking fifth in all-time peak player count.
While Monster Hunter Wild’s launch hasn’t been entirely smooth, technical issues have marred some players’ experiences, including a critical bug that could halt story mode progression.
For now, Monster Hunter World remains Capcom’s top-selling game, with 28.1 million copies sold as of January 2025.
