Thai Duelist agent Waylay is coming to Valorant the day after Season 2025, Act II kicks off on March 5. Riot Games revealed the 28th agent during the grand finals of VCT Masters: Bangkok.
The new character features prismatic-themed abilities, including a double dash that seems to be the strongest movement skill in the game at the time of writing.
Known Waylay’s set of powers include:
- Refract – Waylay can instantly create a beacon of light on the floor and, by reactivating the ability, zip back to it as a mote of light, making her invulnerable during her travel.
- The Light Speed ability allows the agent to prepare for a burst of speed. She can dash twice forward or dash once upward with a quick tap of the ability.
- Saturate – Waylay hurls a cluster of light that explodes on contact, slowing enemies’ movement and weapon use in the affected area.
- Convergent Paths allow Waylay to create an afterimage of herself that projects a beam of light. After a brief delay, she gains a significant speed boost, and the beam expands, hindering enemies caught in its path.
Alongside Waylay’s release, Valorant players can also expect a new collection called Cyrax coming within Season 2025, Act II update. This collection brings new skins for the Vandal, Ghost, Guardian, Stinger, and Fanblade melee weapons. The accompanying Battlepass, which goes live on March 6, 2025, will feature items like the Tactibear Flex, Byteshift Ghost, Sloth Tactics Buddy, Doom Wing Phantom, and the Heartless Card.
