The Blood of Dawnwalker, the new game from the director of The Witcher 3, is progressing secure from NetEase’s cuts, clarified Tomasz Tinc, Co-Owner of Rebel Wolves, the developer behind the upcoming ARPG.
Multiple rumors appeared suggesting that Rebel Wolves may be in danger amid news about recent lay-offs at NetEase and, following them rumors of unloading non-Chinese studios.
In response to that conjecture, Tomasz Tinc, Co-Owner and Chief Publishing Officer at Rebel Wolves, provided clarity on the speculations via a LinkedIn post. He explained that while NetEase holds a minority stake in the company, the majority of Rebel Wolves’ ownership is in the hands of its employees, including Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, the director of The Witcher 3, who co-owns the studio.
Tinc also sought to quell concerns regarding financial stability, stating that The Blood of Dawnwalker is fully funded and progressing smoothly. He also added that the studio is working closely with its publishing partner, Bandai Namco, to bring the game to life.
