Over 2 hours of recent Marathon playtest have leaked, shows cleaner UI, events, Outpost map

Approximately 132 minutes of the recent Marathon playtest have been posted on a Chinese video-sharing website, Bilibili, showing improvements of the game, including cleaner UI, an event called the Heat Cascade Protocol and a new map called the Outpost.
Despite being a playtest locked behind a strict NDA, a Chinese Bilibili user was still able to post the gameplay videos on his account without it being taken down. The videos were also previously available on his YouTube channel, but that one was quickly removed.
There are a total of 11 videos on his channel, all coming from the recent playtest. The videos revealed three different maps: Perimeter, Dire Marsh and a new one, Outpost. Perimeter is a map that was once available in the previous tests, but has certainly improved in visuals in the recent one.
The game’s UI has also become significantly cleaner compared to previous tests, and the recent test featured an event called the Heat Cascade Protocol. This event forces players to stay indoors most of the time, as fiery particles rain down and drain their health and shields if they remain outside for too long.
Marathon players on Reddit said that the video does not do the game justice in regard to the visual improvements. They also said, while unconfirmed, that the game had solo queue and proximity chat, two of the things that the community has been asking for since the game was announced.
Finally, rumors regarding Bungie creating a video regarding Marathon’s new additions and current state of the game are circulating. According to The Game Post, the video will also contain news regarding the game’s position in its development cycle.
