Steins;Gate Re:Boot is now available to wishlist on Steam after the game’s developers announced that it will be delayed from a 2025 release window to 2026. They said that the delay was to further enhance the game.

Upon the announcement of its delay, the developers apologized to the fans who were waiting for a 2025 release. While the announcement has saddened the fanbase, there will be new art and details to be revealed at the upcoming WePlay Expo 2025 in Shanghai, China.

The reboot of Steins;Gate features new art and even new scenes and locations that were not present in the original game. While the developers did not explicitly say it, this kind of addition may hint at a possible expanded storyline.

The game’s Steam description also says that the game will have updated visuals, a refined UI and a revitalized story.

Steins;Gate is a franchise based on a visual novel released in 2009. It follows the story of a self-proclaimed mad scientist, Rintaro Okabe, and his adventures involving time travel and the tragedies that it may cause.

An anime adaptation of the game was released in 2011. A sequel, Steins;Gate 0, was released in 2015. It also received an anime adaptation in 2018.
