Key points
- Call of Duty: Mobile is receiving an extraction game mode called DMZ: Recon.
- The game mode will be similar to the DMZ of Call of Duty: Warzone.
- It will arrive at the game on Dec. 11, 2025.
On Nov. 20, 2025, Call of Duty: Mobile published a YouTube video revealing DMZ: Recon, an extraction shooter game mode coming to the title on Dec. 11, 2025. However, unlike Escape From Tarkov, it’s expected that it will be much faster-paced and action-packed.
The realism from Escape From Tarkov shouldn’t be expected in DMZ: Recon, if we’re going to talk about the extraction game mode coming to the title. Similarities with the DMZ in Call of Duty: Warzone should be more appropriate, seeing that they are from the same franchise.
If this is the case, then it’ll be more about dropping in, completing an objective and then finding an extraction point to be able to get out of the zone together with the items, weapons and other things that the player has looted.
That being said, there’s not much information floating around regarding the game mode, but according to a report from PocketGamer, the game mode will feature roguelike elements, but didn’t elaborate on what kind.
Call of Duty: Mobile was released Sept. 29, 2019, in Southeast Asia and Oct. 1, 2019, globally. It’s a free-to-play game with two primary modes, multiplayer and battle royale.
